i think that would be a cool idea, i also think they should increase the skills to 10 slots instead of 8, most ppl have a lot of skills and its hard to chose which 1s to use, i would love an extra 2 slots

I think the 8 skill slots should Never change... that's what adds to the diversity...
Original poster has a good idea tho... i like that.. sort of a hybrid mixing of characters... if they added something like that, and unique armor for the different hybrids... yea... all i can say is "WoWzA!"

i would just apreciate more attribute points i had to make some hard choices in what i wanted to specialize in since i don't have enough points to go around i'm not asking for much just that i can be well rounded or be dominating in one attribute or another i have all these slots but i have all my points put into only 4 different categories

More ways of getting the proffesions to meld together would be cool. Maybe they could add some balancing to hinder overused combos and premote under used combos. Adding different looks and armour for the combos would be nice too. I have a Ranger/Mesmer, and it'd be nice to have him looking a bit more mesmery, or at least have something that sets him apart from a R/Mo or R/W. I'd love to see W/Mo's with head tattoo's or W/R with a more feral look to them.
Would be hard to implement tho, being that there are like 30 different combinations, I think (5 for each class). More customisation to the look of characters is something that I'd love, because I like my character to look completly different from the next guys.

Certainly a possibility for an expansion. Having unique armor looks for class combinations would be nice up to the point that you are back to the same "combo look" as all others. Still it gives a wider option spread.

I didn't really think about the armor combos, that's pretty neat as well. On the whole 8 skill list topic, I think we just need 1 or 2 more, perhaps some uber quest reward or something. I can't tell you the # of times I had to drop 1 really useful skill because I ran out of room due to skills my main job is for. Such as going all anti caster.
